A thought provoker. Not an activist, but a realist. Sean has been making music and writing from a young age and his development into a folk wordsmith and fronting ‘Sean Grant and The WolfGang‘ is the culmination of many years experimentation and exploration. He has found a voice that is unique to him and unearthed a rich seam of melancholy tales rooted in the first half of the 20th Century. The tone and subject matter of the EP owe more to the frank realism of a George Orwell or Jack London in many aspects than that of his modern musical contemporaries. For Sean this project is a personal mission to write about the real lives of everyday folk from the not so distant past.
“The WolfGang” comprises thumping drum work from James Garvey, bass heavy organ from Phil Andreas and beautifully crafted guitar lines from long term friend and fellow Northampton born Steve Fiske. Together they have been slogging it out in every toilet venue, bar, street corner just to catch the ear, which in turn has landed Sean an endorsement with Dr Martens for his working class ethos and having worn the same pair of Docs for just shy of a decade.
